English? Why English? I am perfectly fluent in Chinese, and I did not see a reason for me to pick up another language from start. My interest lied elsewhere, and to be more specific, the economics. I am not going to deny that the economics isstill and always be what I long to study in the future.Actually, it was also where my complicated relationship with English began.

The Social Interaction Behavior in School Education—An Interpretation of Giddens’ The Constitution of Society

    by Qingyuan Fang

    Learning & Education, Vol.9, No.3, 2020; 190 Views, 20 PDF Downloads

Since 1960s, with the rise of phenomenology and hermeneutics, structural sociology has been impacted to some extent. In Giddens’ opinion, the structural sociology represented by Parsons greatly belittles the influence of individual's subjective initiative and cognitive ability on the society, and overemphasizes the dominant role of the society on the individual. However, interpretive sociology regards the material world such as society as the object world which is opposite to human existence and suspends the restriction of structure on individuals. According to Giddens, the problem of social theory is actually the problem of social order, that is, to explain how people transcend time and space and transcend the limitation of individual presence by means of social relations. Based on Giddens' social construction theory, this paper tries to explain the influence of communication behavior in school education on individual socialization of students.

The Cultural Communication Significance of the Mulan Films Made by Disney

    by Chang Liu

    Learning & Education, Vol.9, No.3, 2020; 742 Views, 37 PDF Downloads

In September 2020, the live-action film “Mulan” shot by Disney in the United States was released in mainland China. This is the fourth time that Disney has put Mulan, a traditional Chinese character, on the screen. The first time was the animated version in 1998. After the success, the “Mulan II” was released in 2004, the third time was the 2012 animation version for children. This time, Disney put this historical story that is well-known in China on the screen in the form of a live-action version. The Chinese elements presented in these four versions are undoubtedly obvious. Although many people in China think that the Mulan created by Disney is not the Mulan in their minds, and the interpretation of traditional Chinese culture in the play is not necessarily accurate. However, by observing Chinese traditional culture from Westerners’ vision and interpreting Chinese traditional culture with Westerners’ concepts, Disney’s efforts objectively played a role in spreading Chinese traditional culture on a larger scale. It shows the traditional Chinese values of “loyalty, righteousness, courage and filial piety” and the two unique Chinese cultural symbols of dragon and phoenix to audiences all over the world, at the same time, the concept of caring for women and publicity of individuality is integrated into it, which makes this traditional character have a strong contemporary character and is more easily accepted by modern audiences. Its significance in cultural communication is worthy of recognition.

    by Yuhui Ding

    Learning & Education, Vol.9, No.3, 2020; 175 Views, 32 PDF Downloads

Loss in Ascorbic Acid contents of orange juice heated under different situations and pH was researched. In this experiment, Navanila oranges from Spain were squeezed and filtered by using a vacuum pump to make orange juice samples. These samples were extracted and make up with 0.1% Formic Acid in HPLC water, HPLC water and phosphate buffer solution (pH=6). Pasteurization was achieved at 60, 65 and 70℃ over 15, 25 and 35min period by using the water bath method and cooled to room temperature immediately. After that, Ascorbic Acid contents were analyzed by HPLC and 0.1% Formic Acid in HPLC water, HPLC water and phosphate buffer solution (pH=6) were used as mobile phases separately for their solutions. HPLC standard samples of Ascorbic Acid were prepared which means 0.1g Ascorbic Acid was weighted and then diluted into 50-250mg/ L solutions to make calibration lines for three solutions. The wavelength of Ascorbic Acid was 245nm but it changed to 296nm when samples in phosphate buffer solution (pH=6). Results showed that Ascorbic Acid concentration is more at 60℃ at 15min and there was a total decline trend with the increase of time and temperature. After statistics analysis, it has a significant affect (P<0.5) related to Ascorbic Acid contents with temperature and pH.

As the process of marketization gradually takes place in China after 1978’s initiation of the reform and opening-up policy, FDI which is attracted by China’s preferential policies has become the main driving force of Economic growth. This paper tries to identify the determinants of marketization from the perspective of FDI based on provincial panel data ranged from 2000 to 2017 in China. Two-way-fixed effect model shows that the relationship between FDI and Marketization Level existed huge regional heterogeneity in China. Specifically, Eastern regions with higher development showed a stronger relationship, while in less developed western regions, this relationship was less significant. We also explore the heterogeneity from the time periods. The results indicate that FDI’s positive effect on Eastern China’s marketization level was slowing down, while FDI’s positive effect on Western China’s marketization level was escalating.

    Learning & Education, Vol.9, No.3, 2020; 192 Views, 25 PDF Downloads

The rapid development of the Internet has brought tremendous changes to people’s lives. Through the network function, the online examination is gradually accepted by various educational and teaching institutions. Currently, online exams have become the main method of teaching evaluation. In order to solve the problem of intelligent test paper more effectively, this paper proposes a mufti-threaded intelligent test paper strategy based on genetic algorithm, and designs the computer system structure in the standard test question bank. Convergence simulation and experimental results show that the algorithm is better than simple particle swarm optimization algorithm, simple genetic algorithm and its improved algorithm. Established a mathematical model and objective function for test paper composition, and proposed an intelligent test paper composition strategy based on genetic algorithm. The investigator used overall coding, crossover and mutation operations to improve the global optimization capability and convergence speed. It overcomes the phenomenon of premature and improves the accuracy and speed of convergence. It has the advantages of strong optimization ability and good stability.

Analysis of the Clinical Effect and Complication Rate of Emergency Surgery for Severe Chest Trauma with Traumatic Shock

by Sakarie Hidig, Jie Yang, Xiaokaiti Yibulayin

    Learning & Education, Vol.9, No.3, 2020; 143 Views, 24 PDF Downloads

Objective: To analyze the clinical effect and complication rate of emergency surgery for severe chest trauma with traumatic shock. Method: A total of 100 patients with severe chest trauma and traumatic shock admitted to our hospital from November 2017 to November 2018 were randomly selected. All the patients were divided into the reference group (50 cases, elective surgical treatment) and the study group (50 cases, emergency surgical treatment) according to the difference in surgical treatment time. At the same time, the effect of surgical treatment, incidence of complications (organ failure, respiratory distress syndrome, empyema, pulmonary infection) and clinical indicators (recovery time of respiratory function, mortality) of patients in the two groups were compared and analyzed. Consequence: The total effective rate of clinical efficacy in the control group and the treatment group was 98% and 86%, so treatment group was significantly higher than the control group. The incidence of adverse reactions in the control group and the treatment group was 4% and 12%, so treatment group was significantly lower than the control group, and the recovery time and mortality of respiratory function in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, with significant differences in all comparisons (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Emergency surgery for patients with severe chest trauma and traumatic shock has a significant therapeutic effect, which can effectively reduce the risk of postoperative complications, improve the prognosis of patients and reduce the short-term mortality of patients.
