A Study of College English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges under the Guidance of “Professional Ability Developmentâ€
Abstract
For higher vocational college students, English subject is a required course, although it does not belong to the category of professional courses, the cultivation of students’ English ability for the future development is of great significance. In the process of actual education and teaching, however, many colleges and universities ignore the teaching value of English subject. It is difficult to train students comprehensively as English teaching quality is not high. Under the background of the new era, it has put forward higher requirements for the English ability of social talents. In education and teaching, the effective training of students’ English ability can develop their professional ability and promote their further development. Therefore, in the process of education and teaching, teachers should effectively carry out English teaching in vocational colleges and universities based on the concept of “vocational ability developmentâ€, to cultivate students’ English ability, and promote students’ all-round development.References
