Summary

Dear colleagues,

 

Cancer, as a life-threatening disease, not only inflicts physical harm but also imposes profound psychological and social burdens on patients. The emerging field of psycho-oncology addresses these challenges by integrating psychological support with traditional medical treatments, forming a holistic approach to cancer rehabilitation. Incorporating psycho-oncology into comprehensive cancer treatment has become increasingly recognized as a critical strategy to enhance rehabilitation outcomes and improve patients' overall quality of life. This special issue will focus on clinical studies on psycho-oncology intervention to alleviate symptoms of patients with cancer and basic research on the exploration and analysis of relevant mechanisms. By collecting the psycho-oncology knowledge at the front edge from scholars around the world, we hope to further promote the integration of psycho-oncology into comprehensive treatment promote cancer rehabilitation.
