Analysis of the Influence of Chinese Traditional Instrumental Music in International Exchange
Abstract
This study aims to analyse the influence of traditional Chinese instrumental music, especially the yangqin, in international exchanges. By exploring its cultural characteristics, historical development and the ways of its dissemination on the international platform, the study reveals the dissemination and acceptance of Chinese traditional instrumental music in the context of globalisation. Traditional Chinese instrumental music has gradually gained recognition in international cultural exchanges by virtue of its unique timbre and playing skills, and the influence of musical instruments such as the yangqin in the international music field has been increasing, especially with the promotion of cultural diplomacy, academic cooperation, and new media platforms. The study also points out that despite the challenges of cultural differences and lack of market recognition, traditional Chinese instrumental music has shown great opportunities for international development with the deepening of global cultural exchanges. This study provides new perspectives for understanding the position of Chinese traditional instrumental music in globalisation and its impact on world music.
