    by Qiaoling Feng

    Contemporary Special Education Research, Vol.0, No.0, 2019; 161 Views, 8 PDF Downloads

876 college students were investigated with the college students shyness scale, negative automatic thinking scale, emotion regulation scale and self-rating depression scale to explore the multiple mediating effects of negative automatic thinking and emotion regulation (cognitive reappraisal and expression inhibition) on the relationship between shyness and depression. Results: (1) Shyness, negative automatic thinking, suppression of expression and depression are significantly and positively correlated. Cognitive reappraisal is significantly negatively correlated with depression and negative automatic thinking, and significantly positively correlated with expression inhibition. (2) Shyness can not only affect depression through the mediation of negative automatic thinking and expression inhibition respectively, but also can affect depression through the chain mediation of negative automatic thinking and cognitive reappraisal.

A Study on Cold and Hot Executive Function and Theory of Mind in Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

    by Wen Hu

    Contemporary Special Education Research, Vol.0, No.0, 2019; 111 Views, 11 PDF Downloads

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) children are common special children in kindergartens.Understanding their specificity and deficiency in executive function and development of psychological theory is helpful to better carry out all-inclusive education. The cold and hot executive function and theory of mind of 30 groups of ADHD and normal children based on IQ and age matching were measured. The results show that: (1) the accuracy rates of inhibition control, working memory and cognitive flexibility of three sub-components of cold executive function of ADHD children are significantly lower than that of normal children, in which inhibition control is significantly different in tasks of different complexity, while working memory difference is only reflected in complex tasks related to visual space; (2) The total score of hot executive function peep behavior of ADHD children is significantly higher than that of normal children, and the level of attention allocation strategy is lower. (3) There is no significant difference between ADHD and ordinary children's psychological theory ability. In a word, ADHD children's cold and hot executive functions are significantly behind those of ordinary children, and become prominent with the increase of task complexity. Educators should consciously penetrate executive function training into all aspects of ADHD children's daily life through games and attach importance to cultivating their self-control.

Abnormal Use of Personal Pronouns in Sign Language of Autistic Deaf Children

    by Yangyang Li

    Contemporary Special Education Research, Vol.0, No.0, 2019; 159 Views, 5 PDF Downloads

Abnormal use of personal pronouns is an important feature of autistic children's oral development. After comparing autistic deaf children with autistic children and deaf children respectively, it is found that pronoun avoidance also exists in the sign language development of autistic deaf children, but pronoun reversal rarely occurs. In pronoun avoidance, the sign language performance of autistic deaf children is more similar to that of autistic children than deaf children, which is more likely to be due to autistic children's own disorders than differences in language forms.  Different from autistic children and deaf children, autistic deaf children have their own unique performance in pronoun reversal: palm reversal. The reason may be that the disorder of personal pronoun reversal in autistic children may have different performance due to differences in language forms.
